I didn’t get invited… so I built my own.

I had a vision.

To be part of NBA All-Star Weekend.
To do something bigger than basketball.
To create a moment that actually changed lives.

But when the opportunity didn’t come…
and the idea got ignored…I didn’t stop there.

We went to the community.

In the heart of Inglewood, California, I partnered with Hoop Bus to host our own Dunk Contest for the grand opening of a brand new court at Rogers Park, and we didn’t come alone.

NBA Champion Dwight Howard.
World-famous dunker Mac McClung.
Legendary high-flyer Jordan Kilganon.

All came out to judge, inspire, and be part of something bigger.
What started as a dunk contest…turned into something no one expected.

$10,000 given away to the crowd.
Two families surprised with brand new cars.
And a community brought together through basketball and kindness.

This is what happens when you don’t wait for permission. You create your own moment. You show up for people. And you change lives anyway.
