I had the perfect plan, surprise a deserving family with a brand new car alongside IShowSpeed at his Baller League event in Miami.

But then everything changed.
Earlier that day, I went to a plaza for our first ever Kick stream. I gave away $3,000 to the chat and another $2,000 in person, but in the middle of all the chaos, I met a kid whose favourite streamer was Speed.

Then we met his family.
They were kind, genuine, full of love, and immediately felt like the perfect people to bless. So I made the call on the spot — this was the family.

All I had to do was get them to the Baller League event later that night.
At first, everything felt like it was lining up perfectly. Speed’s uncle and dad came up to me unprompted, showed me love, and talked about the impact I made, especially back in Detroit. I reconnected with Kai and a bunch of other creators, and Agent even pulled up on the family and gave them a moment they’ll never forget.

Then, out of nowhere, the plan fell apart.
Speed’s manager shut it down. Speed left. And we had seconds to decide what to do next.

So we pivoted.
And somehow… it turned into something even better.

This is a story about trusting the moment, choosing kindness, and proving that sometimes when the plan falls apart, the purpose still shows up.

Jon Jones and I surprised a Gold Star grandmother with $20,000 cash and a brand-new car, and she had absolutely no idea it was coming.

I set out looking for someone connected to the world of fighting , a boxing fan, an MMA lover, someone who dreamed of becoming a fighter. But like the best of these videos, the story took a completely unexpected turn.

Standing outside a plaza in Miami with boxing gloves and no shoes, I met GiGi.

She had no idea who I was. But the moment she noticed I didn't have shoes, she walked into a nearby discount store, borrowed $30 from a worker inside, and bought me a pair. No hesitation. Just pure kindness.

That one act told us everything I needed to know.

When I heard GiGi's story, that her son was killed in the war, and she is now helping raise his son, I knew she deserved something far bigger than a thank you.

I surprised her with $1,000 on the spot. But I wanted to do even more.

That same day, I tracked down Jon Jones at his weigh-in press conference and asked if he wanted to help give away $20,000 cash and a brand-new car to someone who truly deserved it.

The next day, GiGi and her grandson arrived thinking there was one more small surprise waiting for them.

They had no idea Jon Jones himself was about to walk out and change their lives forever.

I sat outside a grocery store in Austin, Texas with a birthday cake and a blindfold, waiting to see who would stop. Person after person walked by… until Elvin did. Without hesitation, Elvin took the time to talk, encourage me, and make sure I was okay. Then he went inside the store, bought a balloon, a card, and even put his own money in it,  just to come back out, sing Happy Birthday, and pray for a complete stranger.

As we continued talking, Elvin opened up about his life. He moved from Puerto Rico to Austin with nothing, after losing both of his parents to drug use. Now a father and grandfather, everything he does is for his family. He once started a trucking business in hopes of creating a better future, but due to financial struggles, he was forced to shut it down and now works at a hospital to make ends meet. Despite everything he’s been through, Elvin still chooses to give.

After hearing his story, I knew we had to do something bigger.
With the help of KIND founder and Shark Tank investor Daniel Lubetzky, we set out to surprise Elvin and give him another shot at his dream. What happened next was something none of us could have imagined. Together, this community came together and raised over $200,000 to completely change Elvin’s life and support his family.
This is what happens when kindness meets the internet.
